The MRI Centers
The MRI Center has built a network of outpatient imaging facilities in New England. They consist of multi-modality centers but have an emphasis on MRI. We are currently operating The MRI Center of Chelsea, The MRI Center of Haverhill, The MRI Center of Peabody, The MRI Center of Springfield and The MRI Center of Woburn in Massachusetts and The MRI Center of Greater Providence and Atwood Diagonstic Center in Rhode Island.

The MRI Centers are non-exclusive, primarily MR imaging utilities whose customers are patients, referring physicians, healthcare provider systems and radiology groups. Our success is based on our unswerving focus on service to all of our customers, with the best MRI equipment and the best specialty radiologists.

Equipment
The Philips Panorama is a superconductive open magnet that provides image quality that is superior to many high field systems in a pleasant, non-threatening patient environment. It is capable of high image quality MR angiography, and it is particularly well suited for orthopedic studies and for large or claustrophobic patients.

The Philips 1.5NT is a sophisticated high field magnet with a comfortable open Wide Body design. It is capable of performing neurovascular studies, rapid sequence total body scans, perfusion/diffusion studies and coronary angiography. It is a short bore magnet that is much more open and patient friendly than many of the older high field magnets now found in your area.

Service
The MRI Centers are dedicated to the highest levels of service to our customers: patients, referring physicians, healthcare provider systems and radiologists.

Patients
In addition to the highest clinical quality of images and professional interpretation, the magnets are patient friendly with an open or short-bore design. Each center is created to convey technical competence in a warm and inviting setting. The primary concern of our staff is always patient comfort and convenience during scheduling, intake and scan performance.

Referring Physicians
The MRI Center has created a strong and loyal physician referral base. Easy and flexible scheduling, excellent image quality and rapid reporting of clinically useful interpretations, telephone consultation with top specialty radiologists when needed, and a high degree of patient satisfaction are the factors that create our referring physician loyalty. Additionally, our teleradiology program enables referring physicians to access patient images and reports on their office computer. This allows the physician to view images immediately. The images are digitally stored and available online, often eliminating the need to obtain, secure and maintain films as part of a permanent medical record.

Research Partners
The MRI Center has participated in a number of research grants across the country. We have a dedicated MR applications specialist on staff to optimize sequences and protocols to meet the needs of each study.

The MRI Center is dedicated to building a strong community and is active at a local level in a numbers of ways. The centers are members of the local Chamber of Commerce, we support many area charitable organizations and take a active stands on healthcare issues.
